Slight stains on the edge of the frieze and at the bottom of one of the sides. The marble floor is also stained.
This antique Louis XV style fireplace in Arabescato marble was made in the 19th century. It has the typical characteristics of the Pompadour model, named after the favorite mistress of King Louis XV : the paneled and canted jambs support a curved frieze adorned with a central medallion.
This fireplace is sold with a modern cast iron insert adapted to this fireplace and with its original three squares marble floor.
