This antique Louis XVI style fireplace was made during the 19th century. Made out of Carrara marble, this slightly veined fireplace has gilt bronze decorations. Thus, the jambs in the shape of fluted pilasters are finely decorated with interwoven volutes. They support a frieze adorned at its ends with crowns made of laurel branches knotted by a ribbon and at its center by a beaded edging.
This fireplace is sold with its original enameled insert but without the original marble floor. This one could be made to order.
The original pier glass is available under ref. 1072.
