This antique Louis XVI style fireplace was made in the 19th century in Paonazzo marble whose veins bring a certain relief. This fireplace is decorated with several bronze pieces contributing to its sophistication. Thus, the fluted jambs are embellished with a frieze on the feet and small flowers along their length. They end in square naturalistic rosettes typical of the style. The panels adorning the frieze are also framed with beaded borders highlighting the straight lines of this fireplace. In the center, in a rectangular bronze piece, three putti near a fire were chiseled with finesse and attention to detail.
This fireplace is sold with a modern cast iron insert adapted to this fireplace but without any marble floor. This one could be made to order.
