In good condition. A base is stained and small chips on sides (see pictures).
Beautiful antique Louis XVI style fireplace, model called ""with round corners"" because of the quarter-round shaped jambs. Made during the second half of the 19th century out of a white Carrara marble. The frieze is carved with intertwined laurel branches. Jambs are fluted and ornated with three raws of asparagus heads.
This fireplace is sold with a modern cast iron insert but without any marble floor. This one could be made to order.
