In good condition. Light crack on the top.
This Louis XVI style fireplace was made in the 19th century in Panazeau marble, recognizable thanks to its bluish veins on a cream background.
The front is carved with waves framed on each sides by half columns tapered and fluted, topped by paterae supporting a molded shelf with round corners to matches the columns.
The original cast iron insert is ornamented with a grid.
On each sides of the chimney gilt circular hinged ventilation ports.
This fireplace is sold with its original cast iron insert but without any marble floor. This one could be made to order, depending of the availability of the marble.
