This is a Régence-style Carrara marble fireplace of rare magnitude. Crafted in the late 19th century, it features a massive, curved frieze richly decorated. At its center, a lavish palmette unfolds into floral and leather-like motifs. The curved corners bear spirals, flowers, and pearls, flowing down the legs to a pearl-accented acanthus leaf. The top, with its curves and counter-curves, completes the imposing harmony of this exceptional piece.
This fireplace is sold with a modern cast iron insert adapted to this fireplace but without any marble floor. This one could be made to order (please ask for marble availability).
