This important and beautiful Louis XV style fireplace was made in the late 19th century in Carrara marble.
Its curved lines are characteristic of the Louis XV style. The jambs with scrolls are richly adorned with flutes, scales and stylized shells on the upper parts. They support a serpentine entablature on the center of which an important shell in a flowery decoration takes the center stage, underlined by an oblong moulding.
This fireplace is sold with a modern cast iron insert adapted to this fireplace but without any marble floor. This one could be made to order (please ask for marble availability).
