Superb antique Louis XVI style fireplace made in the 19th century out of White Carrara marble. The sculpted decoration of this fireplace is highly sophisticated, in particular on the curved frieze which is decorated with flowers in medallions, all different and very detailed.
The winding jambs with acanthus leaves are fluted and decorated with rolled ribbon.
The sides of the fireplace are paneled and decorated with air vents.
This fireplace is sold with its original cast iron insert but without any marble floor. This one could be made to order (ask us for marble availability).
