This exceptional antique Louis XVI style fireplace was made out of a Panazeau marble in the 19th century. The fireplace is fully decorated with gilded bronze sculptures. Thus, the frieze is composed by three molded panels with a pearls row frame in bronze, while the center of the frieze is decorated with gilded bronze cornucopias of a rare perfection.
Jambs of the fireplace are constructed as fluted half columns. The rudentures with asparagus tips are made of gilded bronze. The upper part of the column is ornated with stylized foliage made of gilded bronze, while the heads of the jambs are decorated with rosettes bronze.
This fireplace is sold with its original cast iron insert and with its marble floor.
