In good condition. The wood presents a patina built over the years.
This Neo-Gothic style fireplace was made out of carved walnut in the 19th Century. The front decorated with a frieze of acanthus with dogs being pulled back by the tail by a monkey and a young boy.
The octagonal columns are topped with neo gothic fenestration pattern, supported by two peasants from the Middle Ages. The columns are embellished with florets lozenges surmounted by a Corinthian capital.
This fireplace is sold without any fireplace insert nor marble floor but could be made to order.
