This beautiful and rare antique fireplace in carved walnut and inspired by the Japanese style was made in the second half of the 19th century. Creation of this fireplace is attributed to the Maison des Bambous of Perret and Vibert. The jambs are carved with dragons in low relief while the middle of the entablature is decorated with beautiful flowers engraved in an arrangement of stylised lines of Far Eastern inspiration.
The top features two inward curves at its extremities in the manner of a pagoda roof.
The sides of this fireplace are engraved with branches, butterflies and pseudo-Chinese inscriptions.

This fireplace is sold without any fireplace insert nor marble floor but could be made to order.
