This eight-light chandelier features a dark-patinated brass structure, with scrolling arms that wrap around a central glass column. The column is crowned by a basket of foliate scrolls, from which leafy stems extend downward toward the ring of lights.
At the center, a polychrome porcelain parakeet perches upon a white rock. Its plumage displays a deep blue head, a pink throat, and nuanced shades of green across its wings. Surrounding the bird, the structure is adorned with porcelain flowers in shades of pink, yellow, and blue, along with gilt-metal leaves and star-shaped glass rosettes.
The piece is embellished with numerous cut-crystal pendants in smoky, amber, and amethyst tones, which cast colorful reflections throughout the chandelier. The bobeches are accented by candle cups decorated with gilded acanthus leaves. The composition concludes with a cut-crystal sphere at the base.
