This Louis XVI style mantel was made in the late 19th century in half statuary marble. Its straight header is adorned with a laurel crown and is supported by jambs taking the shape of half columns with a fluted bole and capitals adorned with acanthus leaves. Its splendid earthenware inser, adorned with an enamelled decor depicting plants, is signed by the Loebnitz factory.
