Antique Louis XVI mantel in Yellow marble

The sleek lines of this antique mantel are typical of the Louis XVI style. The straight jambs are decorated with filleted flutes and rise up to molded square framed rosettes. The front of the entablature also has a sober decor, with an interlaced design forming a frieze of circles. The straight lined shelf juts out above the mantel. The simplicity of this mantel is enhanced by the use of a variety of marble with a delicate yellow hue.

Antique large Louis XV style fireback with Diana and the sages, 18th century

This Louis XV style cast iron fireback was made in the 18th century. In a central cartouche, a mythological goddess is depicted talking with bearded men. A moon crescent on her forehead refers to Diana (Artemis in Greek) or Luna (Selene in Greek), two goddesses connected with the moon. 18th century ornaments are surrounding this scene : grid alternating florets, bearded old profiles, acanthus and scrolls.

Small antique and simple door in oak with an oval opening

This small antique door from the 19th century was made of oak. It has an oval opening protected by iron bars, a central round handle and a modern lock. The door comes with its frame.

Louis XVI style trumeau with floral basket

Louis XVI style trumeau in white painted wood dating from the second half of the 19th century. The mirror is framed by a frieze of pearls and a frieze of ribbons. The top of the trumeau is decorated with garlands of flowers tied with a ribbon to which is attached a flowery basket.

Monumental carved walnut fireplace with atlantes and painted medallion Imposing ceremonial fireplace in solid walnut, richly carved in a Neo-Renaissance style. It features two full-round atlantes with powerful, expressive anatomies supporting the upper entablature. The frieze is adorned with a masterful composition of hand-carved oak leaves and acorns intertwined with ribbons. The overmantel is centered by a circular painted medallion depicting two allegorical women in an intimate scene, surrounded by flowers, fruits, and flowing drapery. The medallion is framed by an intricately carved wooden wreath of foliage and ribbons, echoing the motif of the lower frieze. Vertical decorative elements with oak leaves and ribbon motifs also embellish the pilasters flanking the central panel.
