Rare antique 17th-century fireback with Satan

This rare antique fireback was made during the 17th century. Two men are supporting an imposing crown and two intertwined banners with inscriptions. The man on the right, with its craggy body and its strong chin with a beard, reminds Satan.

TWIFORD - washbasin on column, early 20th century

This washbasin was made at the beginning of the 20th century by the English company Twiford created in 1849 in Hanley by Thomas Twyford. The company, which specializes in ceramic sanitary appliances, is considered a pioneer in the application of hygiene principles. The washbasin consists of a rectangular washbasin with soap taps on either side. The two turning taps for hot and cold water are decorated with the head of a fantastic animal above the water outlet. The basin is placed on a fluted column. Note the lack on the back of the foot.

This antique door was made of oak in the late 18th century. It receives a paneled and moulded decoration and a moderne central handle.

Earthenware washbasin on a chromium foot with lion paws

This mural earthenware washbasin was made in the 20th century. It rests on a worn chromium feet with a very minimalist design composed of two feet finishing with a shape of lion paws. The moulded basin receives two taps.

This mantel was made of Lunel stone in the late 19th century. It is the Pompadour model recognizable thanks to the central medallion adorning the serpentine header.

Large Louis XV style stone fireplace

Molded and carved stone mantel from the reign of Louis XV in the 18th century. The entablature is adorned in the centre with a beautiful shell underlined by an oblong moulding. Scrolls are carved on both sides of the entablature. It rests on straight jambs with carved panelled heads and flutely carved feet.

Double cast iron door with geometric decoration

An imposing double cast iron door dating from the 20th century, featuring an elegant geometric design composed of symmetrical scroll and crossbar motifs. Each leaf is structured by six openwork panels adorned with wrought iron compositions, surmounted by interlocking arches in the upper section. The solid lower section is covered with old, flaking paint, attesting to its authenticity and past use. The entire piece is made of solid cast iron, with the finish left in its original condition. A few elements are missing, including a hinge, the lock, and the locking mechanism for the back. The frame intended for a pane of glass is also visible.
